Dr. Patricia Pop, MD
Cybin Study Team
Dr. Patricia Pop is an integrative and holistic psychiatrist and therapist who takes a more-than-meds approach to mental health. In her private practice, she combines medication management with psychotherapy, lifestyle strategies, and mind-body approaches, reflecting her belief that healing involves the whole person.
Dr. Patricia Pop completed her psychiatry residency at Stanford in 2021 with a focus on interventional and talk therapy, and has since worked in high-acuity, community, and research settings. She has a particular passion for approaches that access deeper layers of experience than talk therapy alone – which can sometimes accelerate or intensify the healing process.
She has dedicated herself to psychedelic training and research, including Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy clinical training, completion of the CIIS Certificate in Psychedelic Therapies and Research, and serving as a trial therapist in psilocybin studies for treatment-resistant depression. She values thoughtful preparation, presence during psychedelic experiences, and integration, and incorporates these principles into her clinical work with an eye toward future psychedelic clinic settings. She is passionate about the potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy to expand psychiatric care and deepen psychotherapeutic work. Dr. Pop continues to balance clinical innovation with person-centered care, guided by the values of connection, empowerment, and inner wisdom.
